Homeschool Math Instruction

Homeschool Math Instruction in Idaho's Treasure Valley

Math is the subject homeschool families most often hand off — and for good reason. As courses move from fractions into Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, teaching it well takes a specialist. Ritzi Tutoring provides homeschool math instruction in person across Idaho's Treasure Valley and online nationwide: Brandi prepares and teaches your chosen curriculum 2–3 days per week, grades your student's work, and keeps you fully in the loop. Ritzi Tutoring is an IHLA approved vendor, so IHLA families can use their supplemental learning funds for these services.

Who This Is For

Is this the right fit for your student?

  • Homeschool families who want math taught by a certified Idaho teacher
  • Parents comfortable teaching other subjects but not upper-level math
  • IHLA families looking for an approved vendor for math instruction
  • Homeschool students in grades 3–5, middle school, high school, or undergraduate college courses
  • Students working through Math I, Math II, Math III, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, PreCalculus, Calculus, or Statistics
Common Challenges

What tends to trip students up.

Every student is different, but the same handful of  sticking points show up again and again.

Teaching a course you never loved yourself

Homeschool parents can teach almost anything with a good guide — until Algebra II and Calculus. Handing math to a certified teacher protects both the learning and the relationship.

Choosing and pacing a curriculum

Whether you use Saxon, Math-U-See, Teaching Textbooks, Beast Academy, or an online program, Brandi teaches your curriculum of choice and keeps the pacing realistic for your family's calendar.

Transcripts and course rigor

High school homeschool math has to hold up for college admissions and dual credit. Instruction is aligned to Idaho State Math Standards so credits reflect real, demonstrable mastery.

Accountability between lessons

Homeschool math often stalls because nobody checks the work. Brandi assigns, reviews, and corrects — so gaps get caught the same week they appear.

How One-on-One Tutoring Helps

Personalized instruction, built for one student.

Brandi is a certified Idaho public school teacher with 14 years of classroom experience and 20+ years of tutoring, and she takes on the full teaching role for math: preparing lessons from your curriculum, delivering direct instruction 2–3 days per week, assigning and reviewing practice, and giving you honest progress updates. You keep control of the curriculum and the schedule; she brings the subject-matter expertise, standards knowledge, and structure. Because sessions are one-on-one, a homeschool student typically covers in one focused hour what a classroom spreads across a week.

What to Expect
